Your Path to Solo Flight: Accelerated Freefall (AFF)
Dream of flying solo? Our comprehensive AFF program provides the training and guidance you need to become a certified skydiver, taking you from novice to licensed professional.
What is the AFF Program?
The Accelerated Freefall (AFF) program is the fastest and most effective way to learn to skydive solo. Unlike tandem jumps where you are attached to an instructor, AFF teaches you to manage your own equipment and make your own decisions from your very first jump. It's an intensive, hands-on training method designed to build your skills and confidence rapidly.
Our AFF program is structured into distinct levels, each building upon the last to ensure a thorough understanding of skydiving principles and safety procedures. You'll work one-on-one or with two instructors, providing personalized attention and immediate feedback throughout your freefall experience.
The AFF Levels:
- Ground School: Extensive theoretical training covering equipment, freefall body position, parachute deployment, emergency procedures, and landing techniques. This is where your journey truly begins.
- AFF Level 1: Your first jump with two instructors holding onto you. Focus on stable freefall, altitude awareness, and practice deployments. This is often the most exhilarating jump!
- AFF Level 2-3: Continued practice with two instructors, refining body position, turns, and forward movement in freefall. You'll learn to release from instructors and regain control.
- AFF Level 4-7: Transition to one instructor, practicing more advanced maneuvers like diving exits, flips, rolls, and canopy control. Each level introduces new skills and challenges, preparing you for independent flight.
- Graduation Jump: Your final AFF jump, demonstrating mastery of all required skills, often with an instructor observing and filming your performance. Upon successful completion, you are cleared for solo jumps!

Beyond AFF: Your Journey to an A License

Completing the AFF program is a monumental achievement, but it's just the first step towards becoming a fully licensed skydiver. After graduating AFF, you'll embark on a series of consolidation jumps, applying and refining the skills you've learned in a supervised, yet increasingly independent, environment.
The ultimate goal for many aspiring skydivers is to earn their USPA A License. This license signifies that you are a competent and safe skydiver, capable of jumping with other licensed skydivers and participating in group activities. Our team will guide you through all the requirements.
A License Requirements typically include:
- Minimum of 25 Jumps: This includes your AFF jumps and subsequent solo and coached jumps.
- 5 Jumps with one or more other licensed skydivers: Practicing safe separation and tracking.
- Completion of USPA A License Proficiency Card: A checklist of skills signed off by instructors, covering freefall maneuvers, canopy control, packing, and emergency procedures.
- Packing Course: Learning to safely pack your own parachute.
- Successful Water Landing Training: A simulated water landing exercise.
- Written and Oral Exams: Demonstrating your knowledge of skydiving theory, safety, and regulations.
We offer coaching and mentorship throughout this phase, helping you master each requirement and confidently progress towards your A License. Our experienced instructors are passionate about fostering new skydivers and will be there every step of the way.
Before You Begin: Prerequisites
To ensure the safety and success of all our students, there are a few essential requirements you'll need to meet before enrolling in our Accelerated Freefall program. These prerequisites are in place to prepare you for the physical and mental demands of skydiving.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age on the day of your first jump. Valid government-issued photo identification is required to verify your age.
Physical Fitness
Skydiving requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. You should be in good general health, able to lift your legs for landing, and have sufficient mobility. A certain weight limit may apply for safety reasons (please inquire for current limits).
Commitment to Learning
The AFF program is intensive and requires dedication. You must be committed to attending ground school, understanding theoretical concepts, and practicing skills. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are crucial.
Medical Certificate (If Applicable)
While not always required for everyone, individuals with certain medical conditions (e.g., heart conditions, epilepsy, severe back problems) may need to obtain a medical certificate from a physician. Please consult with us if you have any health concerns.
English Language Proficiency
All ground school instruction and in-air commands are given in English. A clear understanding of spoken English is essential for safety and effective learning.
No Alcohol or Drugs
You must be free from the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs for at least 8 hours prior to your jump, and throughout your training day. Safety is our top priority.
